This currently underused County Park is the site of development for our future Championship level Disc Golf courses. At present we are walking around the park and picking up sticks. Prickers are being removed gradually and space for discs to land, fly through and around are being created. Paths are beginning to be formed. The county parks department will be announcing THEIR plan for the property on the first Tuesday in April 2018 at the county park advisory board meeting.
Nice clean Park just wish they were open later at night
Has everything you need for a day at the lake. Restrooms, grills, picnic tables, pavilion that you can reserve for events. Has a small playground, baseball diamonds, and volleyball nets.
Great for a family gathering even if its a reunion sized group. Outdoor events like baseball, volleyball, playground stuff, and swimming. The one negative, as is possible anywhere, was that we once encountered such an unpleasant group of people swimming that we had to remove our kids from the lake. Directly stated... Drug usage, loud, foul language, and potential fistfights. We've gone there many times. This was a one time event. But, in fairness to the public, I think it should be shared.
Nice place for the family. Beach area is s bit small by waters edge.
