Just bought a 2013 Equinox from Betten Baker. Drove it the 6 hours home and so far have had no issues. We knew when we arrived what vehicle we wanted to test drive - Darren was very nice and didn't try to push a different vehicle on us which we were grateful for. He seemed very straight-forward with us and worked to get the vehicle to a price we could afford. Eric in financing was very easy to work with - didn't push when we said we weren't interested in the warranties. He explained the papers we were signing and was very personable. Loved that we were able to transfer the plate right then and there. Great service all around.
My service was great. BUT, when we bought the car there was a promotion going on of free oil changes for life as long as we owned the vehicle. We agreed to the purchase at the end of the promo, signed the papers a couple days later. We insisted sales person write the promo on the agreement because it was initially missed; which he did. But it did not get transferred over when the computer agreement was generated. For the first year and a half the agreement stood, no problem. But last week they said our name was not on the promotion list and can't find it noted in our file either, so I had to pay. So within 2 years time, we purchased 2 new vehicles. Spending about $75,000. When it was Grand we never had an issue, but since Better Baker took over... Not impressed.
Super friendly. When I had car issues, they were very accommodating and fast. I bought my car in Allegan between Baker from a saleswoman named Lisa. She was awesome. I will go back there for my next car and it will be from here.
The service department is stellar, Allie Hodges took great care of me! They found the screw in my tire and patched it super quick sending me on my way in no time! I have become a regular for oil changes too!!
We had amazing service from Jason McDaniel!!! He came in on his day off to get us some keys because our one year old decided to lose our only set. If we ever need anything in the future he is the one we will go to! So thank you Jason for taking time out of your day to help us!
AND, I keep getting cold calls wanting me to trade in my vehicles for new ones, have told her 3 times, not interested. Have told her that I have a salesperson that I work with and if I want a new vehicle I will contact him, and I don't appreciate her trying to scoop in on someone else's customer. That big city mentality doesn't fly in a small town.
